the 5th of January, reference CEinC

092/32/465a

stating that Their Lordships view with

concern the proposal of the Hong Kong

Government to suspend payment of the

final instalment of their contribution

towards the cost of the new Naval

Armament Depot at Stonecutter's Island,

and to request you to inform the Lords

Commissioners of the Admiralty that he

views with great concern the statement in

their letter that the surrender of the

Naval Arsenal Yard is dependent upon the

progress made with the new Depot at

Stonecutter's
